Manchester Pride is one of the UK's leading LGBTQ+ charities. Our vision is a world where LGBTQ+ people are free to live and love without prejudice. We’re part of a global Pride movement celebrating LGBTQ+ equality and challenging discrimination.
Proud of our history
Manchester plays a huge part in the UK’s queer liberation movement. In 1986, Manchester City Council provided funding for a two-week celebration held at Oxford Street for the gay community. Manchester Pride was born.
We run several initiatives that support all areas of LGBTQ+ lives; from the Manchester Pride Conference which educates attendees on LGBTQ+ topics and issues, to the All Equals Charter advocating LGBTQ+ inclusivity in the workplace.
