We are Manchester Pride
One of the leading LGBTQ+ charities in the UK. Our work aims to fight against homophobia, biphobia and transphobia. Our grant giving supports, empowers and enriches LGBTQ+ community groups, and enables us to host annual events that give a platform to LGBTQ+ people of all ages.

OUR WORK
We are committed to improving the lives of LGBTQ+ people in Greater Manchester and beyond. We are part of a global pride movement that celebrates advancements in equality and challenges discrimination faced by LGBTQ+ people.
50+ years of growth
Manchester has played a huge part in the UK’s queer liberation movement
200,000 people
attended the Gay Village Party over the past 5 years
We’ve raised over £1.5M
for LGBTQ+ good causes across Greater Manchester since 2003
Manchester Pride Community Fund
The Manchester Pride Community Fund raises essential funds to support LGBTQ+ communities. Every penny donated goes directly to supporting LGBTQ+ causes and projects in Greater Manchester.

This means none of the money you donate goes to the day-to-day operations of the Manchester Pride Charity.

You can help us in our fight towards LGBTQ+ equality - we welcome any donation, no matter how small.

Community Grants
In the Pride In Our Future report February 2022, we shared details of upcoming changes to our grants programme.

Priority will be given to grant applications that match key issues outlined by our communities.

The new, streamlined grant application process will be published by the end of May.
Annual Review
Each year we conduct an annual review of our activities as a charity and publish our accounts online.

All Equals Charter
Over a third of LGBTQ+ employees have hidden or disguised their LGBTQ+ status at work for fear of being discriminated against. All Equals Charter helps businesses and organisations to establish LGBTQ+ inclusivity in their workplace.

Supported by Manchester Pride’s Inclusivity Development Manager, Charter members have access to expert knowledge to develop and adapt everything from policies and procedures, to training and education offered to their workforce.

Accreditation allows businesses and organisations to indicate to employees, clients and suppliers that they meet a set of values and principles of intersectional inclusion.
Support us
Without the invaluable support of our incredible volunteers, we wouldn’t be able to do the things we do for LGBTQ+ communities.

Volunteering is a rewarding experience and a great way to make new friends within the community. We’ve plenty of amazing perks for you in return, too.
Pride in our Future

Chief Executive Officer

Queer Manc man of colour. When I'm not glued to my desk writing strategies and reading proposals, I like to meet people who share my passion for pushing forward with positive social change. These days I’m more of a family man than a party boy. I choose kindness.

When I have a break between booking acts and attending H&S briefings, you’ll find me browsing for limited edition trainers. I’m an obsessive collector of ASICS Gel Lyte V. When I’m not hunting for the latest kicks, I can be found hunting out the best veggie food Manchester has to offer.

Senior Marketing & Communications Manager

I'm pretty good at spinning lots of plates, which is maybe why my specialist skill is creating tasty dishes from a fridge forage the day before a big shop. I’m happiest in my bubble, with my partner and our pet pug, Oscar. I love being outdoors and getting active; running, rock climbing and swimming in the sea.

I’m Mancunian born and raised. I love dancing, especially at The White Hotel. When I’m not tearing up the dance floor myself, I’m curating and programming Manchester Pride’s events to ensure everyone has a great time at the Gay Village Party.

I love puzzles and recently taught myself how to complete a Rubik's Cube. I'm a new mum to Ben, but also enjoy looking after the Manchester Pride family - I’m a big advocate for wellbeing in the workplace. In my spare time I like running, cooking and watching movies.

Neurodivergent Manchester creative and vegan junk food enthusiast. When I’m not creating content for Manchester Pride, I love printmaking, dancing and making music. I can often be found with my head buried in Mythology books and buying pretty new books before I’ve read the ones I own.

Events Coordinator

I do more than wrangle risk assessments and input into event safety structures. I roll into the office on my skateboard, I also love to snowboard and surf (predictable being from Los Angeles). I collect records that I love to look at and rarely play.
